Abstract
I thank you for giving me an opportunity to meet
fellow Ceramists in this area. Being an inaugural meeting,
I intend giving you a talk this evening on the development
and growth of Refractories Industry in India and its
future. I hope that in the subsequent meetings technical
papers will be forthcoming under the combined efforts
of the producer and the consumer besides papers on
fundamental research work; I am firmly of the opinion
that papers produced by the combined efforts of the
producer and the consumer in the Refractories Industry
are necessary in the interests of national economy.
