| Abstract |
| Differential thermal analysis has been utilised for determination of surface
area of china clay and bentonite samples. It has been observed that the amount
of mechanically adsorbed H 20 in kaolinite and bentonite samples varies linearly
with the surface area of the samples. The amount of this adsorbed H 20 has
been determined from the area of the initial peak that appeared in the DT A
curves of these samples. |
