Abstract
"Spit out" in glaze consists of masses of tiny blisters which
are entrapped and which appear on the ware at the decorating
stage. It may appear in the glost oven if the temperature is
not sufficient to melt the blisters down. It is found more in
earthenware than in bone china. This is due to glaze effect
as also at times due to body effect.
