Abstract
Trichlorosilane method, a commercially viable process for producing extremely pure grade silicon metal as required for making solar cells and electronic components, bas been reviewed in detail followed by discussions about a complete automatic plant using fluidized bed reactor. Use of the by-products from such a plant has also been discussed briefly. Recent references on the material of context have been cited.
