Abstract
Calcium silicate bricks are made by autoclaving mixtures of a siliceous material and lime. The main binding constituent in these bricks is a tobermorite type calcium silicate hydrate. The composition of calcium silicate hydrate governs most of the properties of calcium silicate bricks. This paper presents the results of differential thermal analysis studies of the calcium silicate hydrates formed in calcium silicate bricks made by autoclaving mixtures of sand-lime, jlyash-/ime, calcined clay-lime and blast furnace slag-lime.
