Abstract
The effect of forming pressure on the physical properties and high temperature load bearing characteristics of magnesite, chrome-magnesite and magnesite-chrome bricks prepared under industrial conditions has been discussed. It has been suggested that the physical properties of these refractories and their resistance to creep under compressional load at high temperature in particular, showed considerable improvement when the forming pressure exceeded 800 kgfcm2•
