Abstract
Necessity is the mother of invention is an old proverb, and it is an integral lever responsible for new techniques and developments. From time immemorial developments have been taking place and in a sequence replacing the older ones. This is purely a relative term since the new technique of the last two decades is no more new now and not only that, a new technique of one country may not be new for another and it may not also fit in well into the local conditions prevailing. The potters wheel, once a new technique, is a common-day equipment now.
