Abstract
THE processes of making ceramic articles are largely dependent on the particle size of the raw materials used. Clays, the primary material in ceramic compositions, are disintegrated products of feldspathic rocks and are said to consist of aggregates of a large number of fine particles. The l1nest fraction in them, exhibiting a colloidal phenomena, greatly influence their physical characteristics such as plasticity, casting properties, dry strength, etc.
