| Abstract |
| The limitations of the volumetric silico-fluoride methods w.ere studied and a
modified prooedure has been worked out for rapid and accurate estimation of silica.
Standard deviation of the results is 0.154 and one sample can be analyse·d in
duplicat.e in 2 hours. The metho,d has been used for analysis of quartz, clayr and
clay products, glass, alumino silicate refractorils and felspar. Other siliicate constituents,
inclu.ding boron, antimony and fiuorin,e did not1 interfere. |
