| Abstract |
| With a vzew to investigate the possibility of industrial utilisation of indigenous
asbestos, mostly of amphibole variety, ten samples were procured through
the Geological Survey of India and Indian Bureau of Mines from different parts
of the country. Chemical and P•hysical tests as well as trzials for making spuimens
of pipes, flats, corrugation, etc. on a laboratory scale showed that these indigeno·us
asbestos, could be utilised for cement-asbestos pr.oducts, though they may not;! be
as good as the imported chrysotile variety. |
