| Abstract |
| Samples of bentonite from Jodhpur division
of Rajasthan and from Karauli in Bharatpur
division of Madhya Pradesh were obtained.
They were chemically analysed. Their physical
properties such as plasticity, water of plasticity,
pore water, slaking behaviour, swelling etc and
their pyro-physical properties such as dehydration,
expansion, Differential Thermal Analyses etc
were studied. X-ray diffractometer tracings,
x-ray powder photographs and electron micro•
graph of Jodhpur bentonite were obtained and
mineralogical nature of both was investigated. |
