Abstract
The importance of gypsum to the ceramic industry
is twofold : firstly, it is an essential constituent of Portland
Cements employed to retard their setting. But as a source
from which plaster of Paris is manufactured, it is of
special interest to the potters. The success of a pottery
concern greatly depends upon the quality of plasters used.
