| Abstract |
| It is a great honour to any one to be elected President Of
the Society of his oecupation and profession but to have been
asked to become President in the Silver .Jubilee year of the
Soeiety is an added honour bestowed by the_ members on a
comparatively younger person. That my continuing in office
was inRisterl upon hy the elder Members, in spite of my poor
health for the last few months, was a further exhibition of their
personal affection and I am deeply grateful to the Members
of the Society for this great honour. One of my di,fficulties
was the selection of a suhject for the Presidential address. As
mentioned last year, I was, in line with the practice of the scientific
societies, anxious to speak on a suhject in which I am at present
engaged. But, after discussion with some friends and particularly
keeping in view the occasion, I decided to speak more
about ourselves, that is, how we started, where we are, where
others are, and where we are to he. |
