Abstract
The Indian glass nml ceramics industries which
started during the first World War had to struggle hard
for its existence because of foreign competition and lack
of knowledge of the technical know-how. The out-break
of the second \Vorld \Var, however, gwe a strong filip to
the industry, and with the support of the ~ ational Government
the industry has now established itself.
