Abstract
The P. C. E. value of Pachegaon clay is 1.550'C (Orton cone 20-23) and hence is suitable for making lozo heat duty fireclay brick~. The addition of grog increases porosity, reduces firing shrinkagP, and improves spalling resistance. There is no shrinkage on reheat. It is also seen that with bond between 40 and 60%, there is no change in fire shrinkage. This is probably due to a part on the bond simply acting as a filler in the pore spaces. Introduction :
