Abstract
The firing behaviour of enamels was observed
under a micrmwope. Enamelling iron gives out much more
gas than titanium steel, stainle~:>:-; steel or copper. The bubbles
retained in the enamel in enamelling iron at the end of the firing
are frwrr. Enamelling iron give~ out ga;o,e,_ hour~ after tht'
introduction of the plate in thP furnace. Enamrlling irou
t.ends to copperhead, while the other metab investigated show
