| Abstract |
| Fuller's earth is a variety of clay that has a high capacity
for absorbing basic colours and can remove these
colours from solution in animal, vegetable and mineral oils,
as well as from some other liquids, especially water. It
was first used for 'fulling' or removing grease from woollen
goods, and takes its name from that process. |
