Abstract
Chemical glasses should be resistant to corroding action ot water, atmospheric agencies, and chemicals ; they should possess high thermal endurance and as low co-efficient· of expansion as possible. To standardize a composition for such a glass, a few glasses which are most commonly used in laboratories were analysed and batches for these were calculated from raw materials of known composition.
