Abstract
The Nature and Scope of Technology Technology is the development and application of knowledge and experience to satisfy human needs. It involves the production and use of goods and services, whereas reductionism is fragmentation of tasks into components which engenders isolation of scientific disciplines and may lead to alienation with the real life problem. Hence an integrative approach, a holistic view is needed (systems engineering).
