Abstract
The influence of S to lS% substitution of copper by Ti, Fe and Zn on the superconducting transition temperature of YBa2Cu30 7 has been studied through resistivity measurements. T c is found to be reduced gradually due to Ti substitution. Fe and Zn substitutions have very pronounced effect on T c and superconductivity is destroyed at 15% substitution in both these cases. Possible reasons for the observed behaviour are discussed.
