Abstract
Two mica schists and three talc minerals from Jbabua and Dhar districts of Madhya Pradesh have been studied using DTA and TGA techniques. Structural changes accompanying dehydration and thermal transformations in different silicate minerals have been studied. Suitability of these minerals as additive for filling and reinforcement in polymer and in Al-alloy has been assessed. SEM micrographs of the heat treated minerals are presented.
