| Abstract |
| The various applications of alumina ceramics to the electronic industry
are discussed. The emphasis has been mainly on the application
in vacuum tubes and solid state devices. The advantages of using
ceramics over glasses and those of using alumina over other ceramics
in ceramic to metal seal assemblies are discussed. The various property
requirements of alumina ceramics for the above applications as
well as for single and multilayer substrates are reviewed. |
